First Woman Over Chilkoot Now in Jail

JUNEAU, June 28-- Blanche Mornelle, or Mrs. Florence Lyons, the first woman who ever went over the trail to Dawson, after the strike was made there, is now in the United States jail at Juneau, charged with selling liquor to the Indians. She was arrested on the west coast of Prince of Wales island and was brought up from Wrangell by United States Marshal Faulkner on the last trip of the Humboldt.
